| Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes abnormal excessive sweating of the hands, armpits, face and scalp. It causes daily embarrassment and affects the quality of one's life. It can affect relationships or career choices. Those who do not have the condition "just don't get it." |
| Facial Blushing |
| Abnormal facial blushing or erythrophobia is a
condition that causes an individual to go bright red in response to a
non or minimally embarrassing situation eg meeting up a friend at the
supermarket, when facing one's boss or friend. It can cause individuals
to become completely socially isolated in an effort to avoid
embarrassing situations. "Just don't blush is not a solution!"
Many people suffer from an equally debilitating flushing of the neck and upper chest which is understandably particularly a problem in young women who would like to wear "V" neck dresses. We have investigated novel non-surgical treatments for this particular problem. |
